About KeryFlex
KeryFlex is a safe and effective way to improve the appearance of damaged or unsightly nails. It is a non-invasive procedure carried out by a Podiatrist in a hygienic clinical environment.
There are a variety of conditions which can cause nail trauma, leading to discolored, thickened or brittle nails and your local Podiatrist understands how these are treated.

What is KeryFlex?

How does KeryFlex work?
KeryFlex works by applying a special resin material to the surface of the damaged nail, which is then cured with a UV light to create a durable and flexible coating that looks and feels like a normal nail.

How long does KeryFlex last?
KeryFlex can last for several months, depending on the rate of nail growth and the amount of wear and tear on the nails. Touch-up treatments may be needed every 6-8 weeks to maintain the appearance of the nails.

Can I wear nail polish over the Keryflex nail?
Yes! Nail polish can be applied immediately after the restoration process has been completed.

Is Keryflex covered by my Private Health Fund?
Depending on your level of cover, your consultation fees may attract a Private Health Fund rebate. However, the cost of the KeryFlex kit may not be covered.

How the Process Works
Preparation
The affected nail is first cleaned and prepared by removing any debris or loose material from the surface.
Synthetic Resin Applied
The KeryFlex resin is then applied to the surface of the nail using a brush, and is molded to the shape of the natural nail.
Curing with UV light
​The resin is then cured with a special UV light, which hardens the material and creates a durable and flexible coating.
Perfect Looking Nail
Once the resin is cured, it is filed and buffed to create a smooth and natural-looking finish. It can also be painted with regular nail polish if desired.
